Google Business Profile help for Kannapolis
The three pins above every website come from Business Profiles. Here's how we help you tune yours.
Search "dentist Kannapolis" or "auto repair near me" from downtown and Google shows a map with three businesses before any website. For a lot of people, those three are the whole list.
That map pack comes from Google Business Profiles. Google looks at your category, how complete the profile is, how many reviews you have and how recent they are, and how far you are from the person searching. Distance is fixed. Everything else is in your control, and cleaning it up is often the fastest win a local business can get.
How we work on your listing
We don't take over your profile. You stay the owner and the only manager, full stop. Instead, Roger gives you a written playbook for your specific listing and sits with you, by phone or screen share, while you make the changes. It takes the guesswork out without handing anyone else the keys.
The eight fields in the playbook
- Primary category
- The single field Google leans on hardest. Choose one that's slightly off and you vanish from searches you should own.
- Extra categories
- A few at most, and only for work you really take.
- Name, address, phone
- Written exactly as they are on your website, down to the suite number.
- Service area
- Real places you serve, such as Kannapolis, Landis, China Grove and Concord, not half the state.
- Services and products
- Named the way customers say them, each pointing to the matching page on your site.
- Photos
- Recent shots of your work, your team and your storefront or trucks, added on a steady rhythm.
- Reviews
- A simple routine for asking happy customers, and short, human replies to every review.
- Website link
- Pointed at the most useful page for that listing, not always the homepage.
What you end up with
A step-by-step list, in priority order, that most owners finish over a couple of evenings, plus a simple monthly routine for photos and reviews. Local SEO clients get a fresh list every month as part of the plan, and every new website launches with the listing and site matching each other.
What we'll never do
Buy reviews, post fake ones, stuff keywords into your business name or promise a ranking. Those shortcuts can get a listing suspended, and getting one back is slow.
Listing questions
Do you need access to my Google account?
No, and we won't ask for it. Your listing stays in your hands. We give you the playbook and walk through each change with you on a call or screen share, so you make the edits yourself and always stay the only manager.
How soon will anything change?
Fixing a wrong category or an old phone number can show up within a few weeks. Gains from photos and reviews build more slowly.
We work from trucks, not a storefront. Does this still matter?
Yes. Service-area businesses can hide the home address and list the towns they cover instead.
Can you get us more reviews?
We'll give you a simple, honest way to ask real customers. We never buy, trade or write reviews.
